SCEP Newsletter

Editor: Position vacant

SCEP keeps in touch with volunteers through an emailed newsletter which appears roughly monthly. It includes topical project matters, updates from some of our far-flung “irregulars”, as well as members’ close encounters of an archaeological kind from beyond the Cadbury box!

Richard Tabor

Richard has entirely withdrawn from the project’s administration which now rests in the very capable hands of Clare Randall. For the time being he continues to maintain this website and to write and edit the final survey report.

The final report of the survey work is in preparation. Several of volunteers have are contributing sections and need to be getting on with them rapidly!! The book will be: Tabor, R. And Randall, C. In prep. The South Cadbury Environs Project, Neolithic to Medieval landscapes. Volume 1: Methods, themes and synthesis.

A second volume is planned to cover the Neolithic and Bronze Age aspects of the very important excavations at Milsoms Corner and Sigwells. Work on this will depend on the availability of finding.
