Avebury, Sunday 12th July 2009

SCEP is planning a trip to Avebury on Sunday 12th July.

We will be setting out form the Petter's Way car park by the Octagon in Yeovil at 10am, and arriving back in Yeovil around 6pm.

A table for lunch has been booked at the pub in Avebury for 2pm.

 

Bigbury, Sunday 17th July 2009
 

SCEP members will  visiting the excavations at Bigbury, Devon. The dig is run by Eileen Wilkes of Bounemouth University and for the past few years they have been excavating enclosures at an Iron Age coastal trading site.

The open day is on Sunday 19 July from 2pm - 4pm. If you would like to come along we will be meeting outside Comet and Currys at the Hankridge Fam retail park on the outskirts of Taunton near Junction 25 of the M5 at 10.30am and car sharing from there. We will have lunch and then get to the site for 2pm.
