Publication of the research into the theory and practice of archaeological survey which determined the strategy and methodology adopted by the South Cadbury Environs Project
The book draws together the remarkable results of the South Cadbury Environs Project’s
work from 1992-
It sets out the project’s groundbreaking methodology and survey results. Special foci are: the Sigwells Bronze Age metalworking enclosure, the Milsoms Corner shield and the first millennium BC ringwork in north Dorset. There is also detailed consideration of the Sigwells later Iron Age pit group.
